TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE COSMIC EGG
"The Cosmic Egg" was a constantly transforming sculpture featuring in the performance film by the same name created in 2017.
After sculpting its surface for days with great attention to detail and having a completely different idea originally in mind, it was found cracked and broken in many places which inspired me to take things in a very different direction...
Embracing chaos, destruction and decay as essential parts of achemical transformation and using the Egg as a symbol of the Self as well as an artists life's work [see oevre, in french] I surrendered to an intuitive process full of surprises and contradictions.
From communing with the elements to clashing with the great Beast that is the City of London, from moments of peace and meditative inspiration to conflict, crackling anger and frushtration and lots of intense but rewarding, messy work.
