This piece was created live in the beautiful Swedish fjords just outside of Stockholm, during "Shadow of the Dark Shaman" mini festival, summer of 2017.

 

The nature was breathtaking and the event's name inspired the title of the piece... A "breakthrough" piece for me as this was when I started my mixed media style of painting with with bird feathers using black emulsion paint and later various inks; creating layers before and after working with oil paints.

Bellow I am reworking it in 2023 in preparation for my solo show DEATHLESS SPELLS at the Crypt Gallery, Euston Road London.
